In fashion, as elsewhere, the show must go on. Aside from some changes to the London Fashion Week schedule due to Queen Elizabeth’s funeral, the spring 2023 fashion season looked like a return to normal after years of pandemic-related disruption. Once upon a time, there were celebrities in the front rows and A-listers on the catwalk, full glam teams backstage, and product launches and after parties galore.

At Molly Goddard in London and MSGM in Milan, A-line tulle skirts were worn with underwear. Dsquared2 showed sheer minis and pencil skirts paired with shirts and blazers, while Prada had sheer textured midi skirts that looked like updates to the fall 2022 style.

We’ve seen a lot of new greens at fashion weeks and in stores over the past few seasons. But this season, designers have also turned to other, softer shades of green such as chartreuse, lime and avocado.

As well as being the perfect spring themed green, this green flatters many skin tones and can be worn from head to toe. They were key colors at shows such as Givenchy, Ester Manas and Fendi, and had brief but surprising appearances at Balenciaga and Loewe.

“I miss all those crazy smiles,” declared the veteran New York fashion editor as he boarded the plane home from Paris, referring to the industry’s array of fashionable characters.
