San Francisco Nightlife San Francisco Shopping in San Francisco Taylor Swift is in San Francisco so I’m super excited to get tickets to this year’s Jingle Bash. Swift has never done a radio show like this in Chicago before — she’s only doing three shows across the country this holiday season — so I knew I had to jump at the chance.

I didn’t know how excited I was for this show until I got to the Allstate Arena last night. I’ve only seen it once on a radio show, 103.5 Kiss FM’s Jingle Ball in 2014. Here is the link.
I have to say that I really like the B96 format and quality line. I like some artists that are long. At the concert I went to in 2014, there were two artists, and most of them only sang 2-3 songs. B96 is different.
2017’s featured artist Khaled opened the show at 7:10am to a slowly filling arena. I was delighted to see that he chose to open his set with his all-time favorite, American Teen. I’ve been following Khalid’s career since January, when he was playing in 100-capacity arenas. Khalid had so much energy he felt dirty and danced with backup dancers in custom Chicago Cubs gear. Dressed up as a merry-go-round. Until songs like “The Place” and “Silence” came along. The crowd joined DJ Marshmello and seemed to want to join him on the song.

Khaled closed his six-song set (the longest by any singer) with “Young Dumb, and Broke,” which had the crowd singing along. You might say you’re young, but he’s definitely stupid. Then it won’t break.
Khalid recently announced a tour that will begin early next year without dates in Chicago. All signs point to a spot at Lollapalooza 2018.
Next up is Sabrina Carpenter: I’m really surprised and wondering why she’s ahead of Khalid. But I think a lot of people are familiar with Khalid and want to get in early. Fortunately, I’ve never seen him do that before. to drink go to the bathroom He left the seat. His song ‘Why’ is well known on Spotify. All I know about him is that he’s 18, he’s on Girl Meets World, and he’s more interesting than most Instagram followers (13.5 million – Khalid, Logic, Fifth Harmony and the Backstreet Boys).

After Sabrina Carpenter; Fifth Harmony is a girl group that has experienced a lot of drama this year after Camila Cabello left the group almost a year ago. Five Harmony released their third full-length album in August. The show kicked off with the band’s hit ‘Worth It’, combining holiday-inspired outfits with over-the-top dance moves.
The energy was there from the beginning, but after the girls sang four unknown songs in a row, it died down. I haven’t heard their new album yet so I guess I can’t complain too much. On a positive note, The 5H ladies seemed happy and confident performing as a new quartet (good), but I felt something was off.
Some other artists had the idea to perform their most popular songs, but Fifth Harmony couldn’t perform themselves and all that was missing was “Bo$$.” I remember watching Fifth Harmony form on X-Factor in 2012 and following their career closely until this year. I hate to say it, but I think they did a great job with Cabello.

Meghan Trainor 2016 Summer Tour Includes Two Chicago Area Stops
Logic (real name Robert Hall) has had an interesting year. I was first exposed to his music when he performed at my college’s spring concert last year (I had a bag problem, attended Jesse McCartney’s opening night, and was left with a song because it was raining, so I turned around at Logic three times). Like I said before, I don’t really listen to rap music, but something about Logic’s music is so different and inspiring. Logic’s music is positive and upbeat, as you can see in the national emergency number, “1-800-273-8255.” After the song was released in April; The phone line reported “the second most calls per day in its history” and a 100% increase in Google searches for the phone number. His stage presence is infectious and sharing this powerful message through his music is overwhelming. I was very surprised!
First of all, I have to say that I had no idea how much I was going to enjoy a Backstreet Boys concert. When I was 4 years old, BSB was great; AKA’s 27-year-old sister (no better time to appreciate them than with my sister, who was at the concert with me). Larger than life blooms. It’s surprising. their dancing, I was very impressed with the vocals and overall performance.
I was a fan when I was younger, but having never met them (obviously I was too young for their era) I underestimated their talent. I don’t know why I did this. They have been around for over 20 years. It was a fun concert and they sang the loudest of them all. They ended their set with “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” which was the perfect way to close.

It’s time! Here comes Taylor Swift. His performance started at 10:20pm when I was getting ready for bed. Taylor’s mother, Andrea, appears in the living room, and it’s cool. First time seeing Taylor since 2015 and I was blown away. We haven’t seen Taylor perform her Speak Now concert at the Allstate Arena since 2011, so it was a real bummer for me and other fans.
