Internships Spring 2023 – REA is accepting resumes and portfolios from planning, urban design, and landscape architecture students for internships in the spring, summer, and fall of 2023 at its offices in Indianapolis, Indiana, and Louisville, Kentucky. We accept candidates who want an internship of 6 months to 1 year.

Internships Spring 2023
As an intern, you will work closely with a team of architects and landscape planners on a variety of commercial, institutional and urban planning and design projects. You will have the opportunity to participate in all stages of project development, including community engagement, code of conduct development, master planning, conceptual design, construction documentation and construction management. Documents, reports, drawings and materials can be produced for community outreach. Other responsibilities include assisting the project team in collecting data and conducting research. and GIS mapping. Preparation of conceptual site design plans, 3D illustrations and visualizations. Prepare quantity calculations and cost estimates. Assist project managers with client meeting materials and presentation boards. and attend meetings.
Spring 2023 Internships
Our internship experience includes pinnacle projects helping all interns develop research or solve real-world design challenges on a given topic. At the end of the program, interns share their projects and findings with the rest of the REA team.
We value individuals who bring a positive attitude and cooperation. We are looking for students with strong written and oral skills, as well as excellent graphics, analysis, and digital production skills. Proficiency in Adobe Suite, 3D modeling (3-D Max and/or SketchUp), ArcGIS or AutoCAD. Students entering the final year of their degree wishing to participate in a 6-12 month internship are strongly encouraged to apply.

The bonus is paid depending on the position. All interns, paid or unpaid, receive a parking permit in the Adams Street parking garage, half a block west of Phoenix City Hall, or a public transportation allowance.
Hours vary depending on the schedule. Phoenix Sister City requires part-time apprentices to work a minimum of 20 hours per week and full-time apprentices a minimum of 40 hours per week.
