Bronx Little Italy is an Italian piazza open every weekend, April – October, Fridays and Saturdays from 6:00pm to 10:00pm and Sundays from 1:00pm to 9:00pm. A Brooklyn tradition since 1999, this 15-block street fair continues every year in the summer after Labor Day. On September 25, 5th Avenue will be closed from 44th Street to 59th Street, and New Yorkers will feast on dozens of tacos, fresh fruit and more.

Colorful Places Around Nyc To View Amazing Street Art
Out-of-towners and locals rave about San Gennaro’s annual festival, and for good reason: The event offers the best of Little Italy. Dine at some of the city’s best Italian restaurants, watch colorful parades, watch free concerts and watch the world-famous cannoli-eating contest.
Although the Feast of San Gennaro is a celebration of faith (people tip their hats to the patron saint of Naples, Italy), it is known for its festive atmosphere, delicious food, and colorful processions. For 11 days, Little Italy is transformed into red, white and green with special guests, live music and a cannoli-eating contest.
San Genaro’s Banquet is located on Mulberry Street between Canal and Houston Streets. The festival stage is located at the corner of Grand and Moats Sts and live entertainment starts daily at 18.30.
Ulster County Fair
Every September since 1926, in honor of Naples’ patron saint, the air of Little Italy is thick with the smell of smoked sausage and pepper sandos and fried dough. More than a million people browse vendors’ stalls and experience Italy in the form of crispy cannoli and zeppole. After nearly a century of practice, festival goers know how to party with food in hand.
You can’t have a festival without a parade—and a great parade is a parade. Grand Marshal NYC Fire Commissioner Daniel A. Negro will preside over the festivities, which will feature marching bands, floats, revelers and, most notably, a statue of San Gennaro.
As Little Italy has become less and less Italian, many Italian-American families have moved away from the neighborhood, but they still consider the festival a homecoming: you can always expect a big show of devoted Staten Islanders returning to Manhattan. Arrangements and work the stand with flair.
