Your university ID number (often referred to as your N number because it begins with the letter N and followed by 9 digits) is included in your acceptance email. Write this number down or write a letter, because you will be asked to provide it during your academic career. At GPH, it will be an information point on campus. For example, you must provide your N number to schedule appointments at the Wasserman Career Development Center or at our Health and Wellness Center.
Now that you have a college ID, you need to activate another form of NYU identification, called NetID.
Your NetID is a combination of your initials and some random number, e.g. aqe123. It is different from your university ID.

When activated (see below), your NetID provides access to approved NYU online services and applications through desktop computers, laptops, and mobile devices, including end-uses such as laptops. Your NetID is your username for all NYU online services, including NYUHome, ALBERT, NYU Wi-Fi accounts, and off-campus access to University Library resources New York.
At this point in the process, you must wait 24 hours to activate your email and sign up for the class, as detailed in the steps below. If you get an error message saying the system doesn’t recognize your credentials, try the next day.
☛ IMPORTANT NOTE: New York University and the School of Global Public Health require all new students to have a final registration form or a WES assessment (for international applicants) prior to classes. School begins in the first semester of enrollment.
Transferring To Nyu
If you have not already done so, you must send a final copy of your official transcript to the Office of Admissions at the address below, or you may ask your former employer to send an electronic copy directly to gph.admissions @nyu.edu. Each WES transcript/assessment that you mail in must include your initials and numbered graduation date in a sealed envelope with the Registry’s seal or signature.
Documents in another language must be accompanied by a notarized translation. If you do not do this before starting your first session, your subscription will be suspended.
If for any reason you are no longer at NYU GPH after accepting the initial offer, you must notify us of this change of status as soon as possible to avoid unexpected fees.
