What do kids love more than a day at the local YMCA? A week of camp at the YMCA, of course! The Y offers fun and exciting holiday or week-long programs that your kids will love! It’s a great option for ages 6 to 12. Do you have a child who has ever wondered what it takes to be part of a team? Summer vacation is on its way and this year, your kids can fill it with music! The National Music Center (NMC) has summer camps that will entertain and inspire your child, allowing them to use their talents and discover their strengths.

The National Institute of Music offers many activities and entertainment at its studio, Studio Bell. It has five rooms that showcase the history of music in Canada. You can enjoy music videos in a Canadian music hall and play instruments and sing along. You can often find special events and children’s camps here.

From March 27 – 31, 2023, everyone’s favorite music camp is back at Studio Bell and kids ages 9 – 12 can participate in a Build-a-Band country music camp vacation! If your child likes to be in a band and joins in, this program focuses on learning to play and sing as a band. Campers will present key material and guide campers in songwriting, singing, and group improvisation. From a tour of the recording studio to daily discussions about jumping, drumming, and making music, the program ends with a performance where the kids can show off their new skills as a group. Basic music knowledge/music knowledge is a combination.

This year, NMC is also giving camps the opportunity to host an EPK (Electronic Press Kit) weekend, to raise funds. Resources include mp3s of the music they recorded throughout the week, candid photos of them playing in their band, HD videos of their music, and notes to share with friends and family. Put your kids on the path to developing a lifelong love of music – maybe one day you’ll see them performing on stage at music venues across Canada (and singing in full, of course)!

The Build-a-Band camp runs from 10 am to 4 pm during the March meeting and you can get a lot of attention, arrive at 9 am and leave at 5 pm. If you have more than one artist in your family, be sure to take advantage of the 25% discount. Enroll one child during spring break and receive 25% off each additional sibling. The Best Local Spring Break Camps In Collin County

St. Michaels University Spring Break Camp has a variety of activities for your kids to enjoy during summer break. Your kids will be busy with activities like learning French, theater activities, fashion design, and painting. Don’t worry, St. Michaels College has not forgotten about sports kids! In this camp, children will be able to exercise every day playing different sports such as basketball and volleyball!

Indeed, there is something for every child at St. Michaels College! These summer camps are suitable for children ages 5 to 18.

Camp Canon is back with holiday classes for children aged 10-16 and has different sections for all skill levels at this holiday camp. This 5-day program includes children’s photography, nature photography, composition, lighting, and more. Classes last 60 minutes, where instructors will provide 1-on-1 feedback, share tips and tricks, and students will be required to complete a painting project!

Never used a camera before? Well, no problem, Camp Canon has experienced instructors who can teach your kids the basics of photography, including using a mirrorless camera or DSLR. Plus, kids can sign up for classes that help them start their own YouTube channel!

Christ Cathedral School is hosting Lux Mundi Spring Break offering fun activities to keep children busy during the break. Children will learn, explore, have fun and make new friends.

Best Spring Break Camps For Kids In 2023

Ballet Victoria inspires tomorrow’s ballet dancers. Join the Ballet Victoria Conservatory from March 20-24, 2023 to enjoy a variety of dance, arts and crafts, story time, and more. This will be a great week for aspiring dancers and a great camp for students to learn and practice different dances during break time. Students will also participate in daily crafts, and play games.

Although Spotlight Academy is located in Langford (and Nanaimo), transportation will be required. This camp is for children ages 8 to 11 and is perfect for kids who want to experience the magic of filmmaking. In this camp, children develop their imaginations, create stories, participate as actors and camera crews and gain new skills and a deeper understanding of filmmaking.

The film will be edited by an experienced writer and screened at the Spotlight Academy red carpet screening. Travelers will also receive a link to watch and download their movie to share with friends and family.
