Before you begin: Press and wring your fabric. If you are using interlining, pair it with a contrasting fabric (the one on the front).
Note: I did not use a walking stitch in this project and was able to easily sew through all gauges. Feel free to use one if you need one.
Notice of next steps. Fold your finished square in thirds. I deliberately chose a starting square angle that is divisible by 3 (applies to all three angles).

These fabric origami bags are easy once you get the hang of them. Once you make your first bag, the rest will fall into place very quickly. I swear!
I’m sure you can think of many different ways to use these bags. I love mason jar gifts and think this is the perfect gift bag for her. You can leave out the drawstring and have a freestanding tote (especially if you add an interface). I’m always looking for a holdall and a small bag for my paper piecing projects. There are so many possibilities!
