The University of Michigan Board of Trustees unanimously approved the updated schedule for the 2023-2024 academic year at its Feb. 16 meeting. This updated academic calendar means that the Winter 2024 semester will move from January 3 to January 10, extending the university’s winter break by one week. The last day of the exams was postponed for a week from April 25 to May 2. Fall 2023 semesters will not be affected.

Umich Chinese Online Tutoring

Is a digital storytelling project that recently received a $25,000 grant from the Coalition for Transforming Lives Education. The project provides students with paid experiences in media and other digital technologies, challenging myths about metro Detroit’s Dearborn, while exploring their own identity, purpose, and community through introspective storytelling. The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) runs undergraduate degrees in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Robotics and dual degree programs in Electrical and Computer Engineering. The ECE department also oversees four graduate programs of M.S.E., Doctoral Program in Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Our undergraduate programs currently enroll over 550 students. Each year, approximately 60-70 students graduate from our ECE program with a bachelor’s degree, and approximately 50 students graduate from one of our programs with a master’s degree.
