New Details Revealed In University Of Idaho Murders Case
“We’re thinking about different scenarios and I think we’ll have news soon,” Provost and Executive Vice President Tori Lawrence told Idaho Education News in an interview Tuesday.
On Monday, classes resumed after the Thanksgiving break, with some students returning to campus and others wrapping up the fall semester.
It’s unclear how many students returned this week and how many stayed home. But based on what he saw and heard from teachers, Lawrence said he believes more students are returning to campus — compared to the day of the massacre, when many students had already returned.

“We’re trying to help students feel successful and safe and comfortable this semester,” Lawrence said.

During Tuesday’s interview, Lawrence emphasized the I’s relationship with law enforcement “I get investigative information about the U twice a day,” he said. And while police say they haven’t identified a suspect — and don’t believe the killing was a targeted attack — the U of I is basing its decision and its policy on tips from law enforcement.
Lawrence I praised the work of faculty and staff as they mourned the deaths of four students. Teachers are quickly changing their lesson plans based on what they’ve learned during the COVID-19 pandemic And support and support staff have been ‘outstanding’ during difficult times for the campus community
“It’s very difficult to go into a brother or a woman who has lost a brother or a sister and talk to them and grieve with them,” Lawrence said.
Suspect In Deaths Of Idaho Students Arrested In Pennsylvania
Moscow police released no new information in the investigation into the deaths of four students as classes resumed Monday at the campuses: Mount Vernon, Wash. Kayleigh Goncalves, 21, senior from Rathdrum. Janana Kornodle, 20, junior, of Post Falls; and Madison Mogen, 21, a senior from Kerr Allen
Instead, police confirmed two stories about the case: They said the February death in Moscow was an overdose and not related to murder, and dismissed reports linking a red Ford Mustang to the scene. .
Moscow police said in a statement that police are seeking information about the incident and the person involved in the killing. “To assist the ongoing investigation, any unexpected or unusual incidents should be reported. Our focus is on the investigation, not the business. Your information, whether you think it’s important or not, can help investigators solve the puzzle.
