UT Dallas graduates will conclude their academic journey and celebrate their accomplishments with family and friends during Fall Commencement, which begins Dec. 16.

Commencement ceremonies to mark the end of the fall 2022 semester and time for several academic tours will be held Dec. 1 at the University of Texas at Dallas campus. 16, 19, 20.
Institute Of Engineering & Technology
Each of the university’s seven schools will host their events in the Performance Center, the Edith O’Donnell Arts and Technology Building’s lecture halls.
The School of Arts, Humanities and Technology (AHT) is set to make its debut as a result of the merger between the School of Arts and Humanities and the School of Emerging Arts, Technology and Communications.
There will be a total of 11 ceremonies, including the doctoral ceremony, which will begin on December 1. 16. More than 2,970 students are expected to graduate from UT Dallas this fall. The university is expected to award 1,903 bachelor’s degrees and 990 master’s degrees. Also, 81 doctoral students received their degrees. More than 2,950 students are expected to attend the inaugural event, some of whom graduated this summer.

Events on Dec. 19 include a School of Behavioral Sciences and Mental Health exercise; School of Science and Mathematics; School of Economics, Politics and Political Science; School of Media Studies, Institute of Arts, Humanities and Technology. Various undergraduate and graduate ceremonies will be held this afternoon at the Eric Johnson School of Engineering and Computer Science.
Events on December 20 will highlight the Naveen Jindal School of Management and take place in the Three Events Performance Center.
After each ceremony, graduates and guests will be directed to the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center on the Green for photo opportunities and special gifts.

Fall semester classes begin on Monday, August 1st. 22nd, the last day of school will be Thursday, December 22nd. 8, at UT Dallas.

The University of Texas at Dallas is gearing up for the fall semester, which begins on August 22nd. The following information and resources will help Comets prepare for the new school year, which again this year offers in-person, online and blended classes.
“The ongoing campus changes and enhanced services mark the evolution of the UT Dallas experience in the fall of 2022,” said Dr. Calvin D. Jamison, vice president for facilities and economic development. “The campus team welcomes our faculty, staff and students. Additionally, with 8,200 students living on and off campus, the development of the DART Silver Line to the north and the opening of the Athenaeum to the south will bode well for the future of the entire campus community. »
UT Dallas is closely monitoring the public health situation and strongly urges Comets to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and smallpox. The COVID-19 vaccine is available to students by appointment only through the Student Health Center. Students can be tested for COVID-19 at the center after completing a health care provider assessment. Masks are mandatory at Health Center and University Health Center events. Back To School: A Utd Guide For Start Of Fall Semester 2022
Facilities: Work has begun on the first phase of the Edith and Peter O’Donnell Jr. Athenaeum near the Naveen Jindal School of Management. The first phase is expected to be completed in the spring of 2024. A new Dallas-area express money line is under construction near the Northside. It is planned to be commissioned at the end of 2024. As part of the renovation and expansion, the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion has moved to a new location on the second floor of the administration building. The new passport collection center will open on September 9 in the Student Services Building. As part of the International Center, the center will be open to all US citizens planning international travel. Appointments can be made online. The Welcome Center Cafe and Tech Shop and University Bookstore have merged with the Bookstore. In Dallas, work is underway on the Texas Biomedical Technology and Materials Science Building, a joint facility between UTD and UT Southwestern Medical Center. Parking and Transportation: A temporary parking lot 300 feet south of Lot M West, relocated from the Athenaeum building, will open this fall. Parking permits can be purchased online and parking locations are shown on this map. There are currently 64 bicycle parking spaces on campus adjacent to academic buildings or the UTD campus. 57 additional locations are located near campus, and all tire repair facilities have been replaced with new equipment. Dining: Several on-campus dining options are open, and others will reopen when the fall semester begins. Serving a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes with Indian flavours, Kalachanji Express is the latest addition to the Student Union food court. West Dining Hall and the Chick-fil-A Student Union have been renovated. Commercial Coffee Tea has expanded its premises in Naveen Jindal School Administration Building. Nighttime bakery Insomnia Cookies is set to open on the North Side this fall.
