Wake Tech Summer 2023 Schedule – Spring graduations are for spring and summer graduates. They will have the opportunity to be catcalled as they cross the stage and have their photo taken with Wake Tech President Dr. Scott Ralls.
Each ceremony will be streamed live on the Wake Tech website for family and friends unable to attend the event in person.

Students completing their requirements in the summer semester of 2023 must attend spring convocation, which is only available to students graduating in the fall semester.

Regalia is mandatory for anyone wishing to participate in the graduation ceremony. Regalia must be ordered directly from Herff Jones.

The deadline to purchase regalia for the spring 2023 graduation has passed. Students who miss the deadline may participate in the Fall 2023 commencement ceremony if they meet the deadline.

An email confirmation will be sent online after Regalia orders have been submitted. Any graduate who did not receive a confirmation email should contact Barry Waseleski to ensure that his/her order was successfully completed. Herff Jones cannot accept late order requests.

Wake Of War
Wake Tech partnered with the Marching Order to provide students and their guests with a seamless graduation experience. The Graduation Order Portal allows graduates to verify name and degree information and record the pronunciation of their names to ensure they are pronounced correctly when graduates walk across the stage.
The Marching Order gate opens on the afternoon of March 27th. Graduates should check their Wake Tech email account for an email from Marching Order with their account registration information. Alumni who did not receive an e-mail after 5 p.m. You must email [email protected] on March 27th. The deadline for graduates to pick up their nominations and certificates and upload their GradPass is 11:59 p.m. April 10. Late applications for name registration will not be accepted for any reason.
Students attending Convocation are strongly encouraged to nominate names via Order of March, as recorded by an outside vendor, to be read aloud at the ceremony.
Spring 2023 Commencement Ceremony
Graduates will be able to access their diplomas and GradPass at the Marching Order portal until the day of the ceremony. Each diploma has a unique barcode, so graduates should not send the same certificate to multiple visitors – each visitor should have their own certificate.
Visitors who cannot receive their certificates by email should print copies of their diplomas. Graduates should not inbox their graduation certificate as the Registrar’s Office cannot handle the distribution of certificates.
Tickets are required to enter the event. Each graduate will receive five guest tickets – no additional tickets can be purchased. Alumni will be able to pick up guest tickets from their Marching Order portal. Tickets will be scanned as guests enter the graduation ceremony. Tickets can only be scanned once and cannot be duplicated. The graduation ceremony will be streamed live for those without tickets.

Students who have completed their degrees or diplomas by the end of Spring 2023 or Summer 2023 are invited to attend Spring Convocation.
To take a seat at the ceremony; Graduates must apply for a self-service diploma and order regalia through Herff Jones. The deadline for ordering regalia has passed.
If you would like to attend the graduation ceremony, you must have a graduation gown (cap and gown) and the order deadline has passed.

Regalia assistance must be requested by the regalia order deadline. Requests received after the deadline will be rejected.
If you purchased your regalia in a previous semester—a student who purchased regalia in Fall 2022 but hasn’t graduated yet and wants to enter now, for example—you’ll need to email [email protected] before March 6 to inform him of your situation. .
Students who fall under this exceptional circumstance will not be on any contact list and will not have a place at the event unless we are notified by March 6th.

When the regalia order is completed through Herff Jones. Alumni must use their Wake Tech email address. All diplomas will be sent to the student’s Wake Tech email address.
If you are a parent ordering on behalf of a high school graduate. Be sure to use your student name and Wake Tech email address when completing your order.
If you do not use a Wake Tech email address, the graduate will not receive important graduation notices and updates.

My parents are ordering my cap and gown. Should I use their email address on the order form?
No. Students must use their Wake Tech email address on the regalia order form. We will only send diploma updates to Wake Tech student email addresses. Failure to use a Wake Tech student email address will prevent the student from receiving important graduation updates.
I ordered the hat and dress but did not receive a confirmation email. Was my order successful?

All successfully submitted prom dress orders (hat, gown and tassel) will receive a confirmation email after the order has been placed. Any graduate who has not received a confirmation email should immediately email Barry Waseleski and Herff Jones at [email protected].

All receipts are submitted to the student’s account within 10 business days of the last day of the semester. Due to the office being closed for winter break, students who completed their winter credentials will not see their details posted until the third week of January.
Students can verify their credential upload by logging into Self-Service and viewing “Unofficial History”. If more than 10 working days have passed since the last day of the semester, and the student ID has not been shown. The student should contact their student records representative. Students can find their representative on the Contact page.
